Ka-Ching: Jaden Smith’s Huge ‘Karate Kid’ Payday

He’s the poorest member of his family but I seriously doubt whether his mum, dad or big sister will be giving him a loan anytime soon. Jaden Smith, at just 12 years of age, reportedly earned himself a $3million+ pay packet to star in Karate Kid.
TMZ has obtained a copy of Jaden’s contract from June 2009, when he was only 10, earned a total upfront fee of $1 million.
Things got even more lucrative when the movie was a box office hit. Once the movie topped $150 million, Jaden picked up a further $2 million as a bonus.
He’s expected to take home even more money with perks from merchandising, DVD sales etc, according to the website.
That’s a lot of dosh for someone who should probably go to school more than he does – but he’s still go a way to go to bank as much as dad Will, mum Jada and sister Willow.
